Privacy and legals

Your information, and what we do with it.

Game Changer CX Limited (NZBN 9429052978586) is committed to protecting your privacy. Questions about this notice go to hello@gamechanger.cx.

Introduction.

We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. If you have any questions or concerns about this privacy notice with regard to your personal information, please contact us at hello@gamechanger.cx.

The purpose of this privacy notice is to explain to you what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. If there are any terms in this privacy notice that you do not agree with, please discontinue use of our services immediately.

Please read this privacy notice carefully, as it will help you understand what we do with the information that we collect. It is written to comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, for Australian clients, the Australian Privacy Principles.

What information do we collect, and why?

We collect information you give us directly: your name, role, organisation, email address and phone number when you contact us or reserve a Changemaker game; billing details where you provide them for invoicing; and anything you choose to tell us about your business in a form or a conversation.

We also collect a limited amount of information automatically when you use this site: pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, how you arrived, and how you move through the pages. Some of this is collected by cookies and similar tools set by third parties, described in the next section. It does not identify you by name and we use it in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

When we run a Changemaker game for a client, we collect the names, roles and email addresses of players in order to run the game, and the ideas, valuations and votes players contribute. Player identities are anonymised during the game as the format describes, and named results are shared only with the client sponsor and, where the format provides, at the awards session.

We collect this information to respond to your enquiry, deliver the service you have asked for, invoice for it, improve this website, and keep you informed where you have asked us to. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and tracking.

This site uses cookies and tracking tags from the following providers.

Google Analytics measures how the site is used: which pages are visited, for how long, and where visitors come from. Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with pages, including scrolling and clicks, and may replay anonymised sessions. Form fields are masked so nothing typed into a form is recorded. Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn set advertising tags. These let us show advertising for Game Changer to people who have visited this site when they later use Google, Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn, and let us measure whether that advertising works. This is known as retargeting.

Each of these providers receives your device and browsing information directly, and each stores it outside New Zealand, principally in the United States, under its own privacy policy. We do not receive personal information from them; we receive aggregated reports.

You can opt out of advertising personalisation with each provider directly: Google at adssettings.google.com, Meta through the ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings, and LinkedIn through the advertising settings in your LinkedIn account. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not affect your ability to use this site.

How do we use your information?

To communicate with you about your enquiry or engagement, including confirmations, invoices and support. To deliver the services we have agreed with you. To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We share information with service providers only where they need it to do their part of the work: our email provider to send confirmations, our booking and data platforms to hold reservations, our accounting platform to issue invoices, and our website host. Each is bound to handle it on our instructions. Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand, in Australia, the United States or the European Union, under contractual protections comparable to New Zealand law.

We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and for as long as the law requires us to keep business records, typically seven years for financial records. After that it is deleted or anonymised.

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it where we have no continuing need or obligation to keep it. Email hello@gamechanger.cx and we will respond within twenty working days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz, or, for Australian residents, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

What is your data security policy?

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, held on platforms with access controls and audit logging, and accessible only to the people who need it for the work. Access credentials are kept in a password manager and rotated when staff or contractors change.

The systems we build for clients follow the same discipline from day one, secure by design rather than bolted on after, and are tested against a defined process before they ship.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a breach that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify affected people and the Privacy Commissioner as the Privacy Act requires.
